Sometimes I feel like there are two of me inside. One is the person I've been and have evolved into. The other is that, well, I started to say inner voice, and that's not truly what I perceive it to be...it is like another, more evolved, soul, and not my own. Some time after reading Conversations with God, I began posing my own questions to "God", which I call Spirit. I personally do not perceive this as a separate, supreme entity, but the All That Is consciousness. Anyway, I started journaling questions and answers, and was at times impressed with what appeared on the page. These responses did not seem to come from my mind, in my typical verbiage, though I make no claims as to their source. They do contain a wisdom to me. (Note: the following was recorded a year ago, but still seems pertinent.)

It is with some hesitance that I share this very personal practice...however, Spirit advises me to go ahead. And so, with humbleness, a conscious effort at letting go, and a deep breath...

(from Spirit)

There is a vacuum pervading the consciousness of mankind and especially in the western world. We have heard the intonations of many loved ones, calling to awareness those who have been more caught up in fear. Now is the time to move forth and speak of what you know. Press your Truth into action. Forgive those without right actions who have been misled by their fears. Some are actually willing to draw forth change, if they but see the Light in the distance; you can bring it closer to them.

(Me: Spirit, what of this war situation?) We are to hold peace from our hearts... (and what else? How are those of a corrupted nature to be stopped from the violence they perpetuate? Note: I was referring to terrorists, but in re-read I think our govt. fits here too)

(Spirit) These beings will only give out as much as they perceive a world will bear. Remember, their higher spirits are, in some realm, pure too. You (the group You) are to hold the higher consciousness always, bring it in to your own hearts, and project it forth so that anyone of same resonance will hear and perceive.

Early in the development of those who know only fear~ just as a single, individual human~ there is opportunity to experience love, and this is often rejected. Instead, all experiences, whether from love or fear, are interpreted as negative, and therefore judged. Being always in judgment leads to an inflated sense of superiority to protect from the truth of what is happening, self-judgment. And thus are enemies perceived and the choice to destroy rather than give compassion. There was never any compassion shown to themselves, they feel, so it is not necessary or even wise to provide that to their "enemies."

Yes, I hear you asking about the actions required of you and those with like-compassionate minds/hearts. In truth, dear one, the energy of holding love, purifying Self with Love, visualizing your world bathed in and permeated by pure white Light, is all you need do. Share your awareness with others. The challenge you feel is that mass consciousness has not reached "critical mass" at this time. Fear is still too great, thus there is not sufficient faith to create change for your entire world. Start with Self. The more (individual) selves that change, the stronger will be the faith in peace. At that time, peace may be achieved. And recognize that within yourself is the only place that your peace can truly reside.

(Me: Spirit, how does this work for those in war torn places, for those whose very survival may be in question moment to moment??) Always the trust is a choice, even trust that the physical realm is not all there is. Even the suicide bombers know this, except they are choosing responsibility for others' lives, and this they cannot do without consequence to their energetic bodies. (Me: what of those "average" people?) They must choose faith to have peace. For some this is easier than even without war, because they are forced to acknowledge mortality, and they would have this peace or have greater pain. It is a surrender to the trust of Spirit, what some may call "the will of God." And it is not "the will," but the offering.

Just as you, these are given the opportunity to surround themselves with Love, to clear space around them which is not polluted with the fear of others, and... (Me: but how do they, in such violent and frightening places, do that, keep their own fear at bay??) By being with those they love, physically, or at least in very clear image. By receiving love energy directed there, worldwide~ and this also is how you may help. By repeatedly renewing their commitment to love.

(Me: how do tortured POW's keep love??) Because everything else has been taken from them, and Spirit does bless the good in them of their memories, so love is more pure within them. (Me: Spirit, why do some entities choose such lives, to be tortured and abused?!) They have taken on evil in a reverse role. Rather than to perpetrate, they are receivers of evil. They help to transmute this energy by revealing its atrocities and turning a tidal wave of love toward them. (Me: does this not also turn hatred toward those perpetrating?) Yes, if this is chosen. The spiritual goal would be to send love to those (choosing hatred), to soften and change those hearts so that they too, know Spirit again, resonate with love and not violence, violation, bitterness, fear. Visualize the "evil ones" filled and surrounded in LOVE...
