The Full Moon this month falls in the sign Sagittarius on June 2. The Archer is on the quest for truth and wants to hit the bull’s-eye of understanding. There is an inherent expansiveness, self-confidence, and optimism about this sign that is larger than life. Sagittarius is concerned with the big issues of life and gaining wisdom and understanding. Seeing into and planning for the future are important priorities.

This month, the Full Moon is in Sagittarius 12 degrees and the keyword for this is EXPLORATION. This is the restless decanate of the Archer, and stirs us to go where we have not gone before. The Archer wants to discover new lands, new realities and new truths. This includes exploring the inner dimensions through meditation and the outer world through foreign travel. It is time to break through any limitations of your worldview and see things from a new perspective.

The Full Moon forms a mutable Grand Cross, which is a configuration of great stress and crisis. Besides the Sun and Moon being opposed to each other, Venus is conjuncting the Sun, and Pluto is conjuncting the Moon. They are also both opposed to each other. This creates an aspect of intense emotional tension and conflict.

In addition, Jupiter as the ruler of Sagittarius, is squaring Sun/Venus and Moon/Pluto, promoting recklessness and a tendency to extremes. The planet Uranus is also squaring these same configurations, creating the conditions for sudden change and instability. All these planets are in mutable signs, which relate to truth showing great conflict in this area. It is very important to stay grounded and keep your balance now.

The New Moon falls in Gemini on June 17. The Twins rule the lower concrete, practical mind. Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is the Messenger of the Gods, and is open to receiving inspiration from higher sources. It is now time for new mental focus.

The Sun and Moon are in Gemini 26 degrees and the keyword is REASON. This is the spiritual decanate of Gemini and represents divine reason and thought. This is sending a message of new beginnings, new ideas, and a new direction.

The planets Mercury and Venus are conjunct the Sun and Moon, creating a Stellium. This is a point of power, and here does result in a nice blending of mind and heart. Pluto is in opposition to all four of these planets, creating a tense, dark and combustible situation.

Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth, brings the shadow side into prominence. It is a time to acknowledge and deal with the dark side of ourselves and the world that is holding us back. Effectively dealing with the shadow side of life results in a greater personal strength and mastery. It is a time of significant opportunity. Enjoy!
